Lohscheller and Ableson Confirmed as New Opel Board Members

RÜSSELSHEIM, GERMANY – August 31, 2012: In a scheduled meeting today, the Opel Supervisory Board confirmed the new board members who were proposed on July 18. Michael Lohscheller has been appointed Management Board member as Opel/Vauxhall Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 1, 2012. Lohscheller succeeds Mark James who has elected to leave the company to pursue other business opportunities.

In addition, Michael F. Ableson has been named Management Board member in charge of Engineering. Ableson was already appointed GM Europe Vice President, Engineering, effective July 18, 2012. He succeeds Rita Forst who has left the company.

The Opel Supervisory Board welcomes the two new Management Board members to the team and expresses its gratitude to both Rita Forst and Mark James for their dedication during many years of service for Opel/Vauxhall and GM.
