CLEVELAND--August 23, 2012: --A CNC horizontal boring mill is the newest testament to AT&F's commitment "We Invest In Customer Success." Performing all functions of machining --milling, boring, drilling, and threading --the boring mill brings turnkey services to AT&F customers.

Standing 15' tall, the machine has a 100-ton rotary table and floor plate capacity. Capabilities include a 40' X-axis x 15' Y-axis x 6' Z-axis travel, 7" spindle, and ability to handle up to 15' diameter cylinders.

The new machining services are a welcomed addition to the steel fabrication capabilities offered by AT&F. "Our customers require highly precise fabrications ready for assembly. The new boring mill combined with the long forming, heavy rolling, and a full range of welding services allows us to provide large precision-machined components including special machined parts ready for assembly, J grooves, prepped and special beveled ends, and bored holes," states Ken Ripich, AT&F Executive Vice President.

Ripich continues, "The 360-degree table rotation allows for one set up, saving hours of fabrication time. The machine is housed alongside the largest rolls and in a facility that has 100-ton lift capacity, 25' doors and rail siding access, enabling us to fabricate, machine and ship components all from one location. We are excited to add this service to our capabilities to better serve our customers."

"AT&F leads industry with state-of-the-art technology and services that greatly benefit our customers. Adding machining to our services provides our customers with a supplier able to fabricate parts from start to finish. Our customers demand and deserve the highest quality products available and AT&F is more prepared than ever to provide them," Ripich concludes.

Serving the heavy industrial, energy, and defense industries, AT&F pushes the limits of shape, size and scope. This never-before-offered service by AT&F follows the installation of the largest rolls in the western hemisphere, a 2800-ton single-ram press brake 59' long, 12' wide plate blasting machine, hybrid laser welding equipment, an articulating 5-axis 4K laser, an additional robotic contour beveling machine, and a 120,000-square-foot facility expansion.
