BROOKLYN, NY--Aug. 6, 2012: Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will preside at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Borough Hall plaza to officially launch Brooklyn-based hourly car share company Carpingo. The new transportation brand is the latest example of New York City entrepreneurship and economic development centered in the borough of Brooklyn. See Carpingo for information and reservations.

12:25 -- 12:30 PM: Gil Cygler, founder of Carpingo and president of All Car Rent A Car accepts proclamation, christens the fleet and gives brief remarks.
12:30 -- 1:30 PM: Reception for invited guests and press in the Borough Hall rotunda. By invitation only. Local food and beverage sponsors include Bai and Sonia's Sweet Sensations.
