August 14th Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Proclamation for Launch of Carpingo, the New York City-based Alternative to ZipCar

BROOKLYN, NY--Aug. 6, 2012: Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will preside at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Borough Hall plaza to officially launch Brooklyn-based hourly car share company Carpingo. 12:15 -- 12:25 PM: Carlo Scissura, newly-appointed president of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce gives congratulatory remarks.

12:25 -- 12:30 PM: Gil Cygler, founder of Carpingo and president of All Car Rent A Car accepts proclamation, christens the fleet and gives brief remarks.

12:30 -- 1:30 PM: Reception for invited guests and press in the Borough Hall rotunda. By invitation only. Local food and beverage sponsors include Bai and Sonia's Sweet Sensations.
