HIGH WYCOMBE, UNITED KINGDOM – Aug 6, 2012: Shoppers at the world-famous Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, London, are used to seeing high quality and stylish goods on show. From now until the 25th August, there will be another item in stock – the innovative 1+2 door Hyundai Veloster sports coupe.

With all eyes on London at the moment, Harrods has partnered with one of the most advanced technology markets, Korea, to create a showcase of innovative technology.

The store invited the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra) to provide a number of technology companies to form the: ‘Korea Loves London – Innovation and Technology 2012’ exhibition.

Amongst others pieces of technology, the window display includes the Hyundai Veloster, robots, interactive screens and automated home appliances. The result is an impactful and engaging display for the 1.2 million store visitors and 9 million Brompton Road pedestrians and traffic.

Kotra's goal is to establish Korean companies in the UK, and views Harrods as the lynchpin to European success. As the world’s fifth largest and fastest growing automotive manufacturer, Hyundai is one of the main sponsors of the promotion.

Going on-sale at the beginning of the year, the Hyundai Veloster is the perfect showcase of innovation and technology. It successfully combines style - with its sleek and distinctive compact coupe design, practicality - with its innovative 1+2 door configuration for easy rear seat access, and efficiency - with a combined fuel economy of up to 47.9mpg.

Starting from just £18,000, it also offers premium levels of technology and connectivity as standard, including a 7-inch TFT touch screen media centre (with capability of playing games through consoles and films from smartphones) and Bluetooth® connectivity with voice recognition.

Hyundai’s President and CEO, Tony Whitehorn said: “We are very proud to be part of the ‘Korea Loves London – Innovation and Technology 2012’ activity in such an iconic location. Like everything in Harrods, the Veloster has been designed to be stylish, great value and of the highest quality.”
