Strong sales for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in July

SYDNEY – Aug 6, 2012: Fiat Chrysler Group Australia has reported a strong July sales results for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands, retailing a total of 1,684 units – a 92.9 percent increase on last year’s July sales. A stand out performer was the Jeep Grand Cherokee, retailing 672 units - a 62 percent sales increase on July 2011 results.
Clyde Campbell, managing director of Fiat Chrysler Group, commented on the continuing growth of the American brands.
“We are going from strength to strength in Australia courtesy of our growing product portfolio which successfully competes in key segments.
“We anticipate sales momentum will continue in the second half of the year thanks to our new large sedan, the Chrysler 300, which is landing in dealerships across Australia now,” said Campbell.
Australia is not the only country to report unprecedented sales success for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. Chrysler Group LLC recently announced July U.S sales rose 13 percent, confirming the best July in five years for the group. Chrysler De Mexico reported a sales jump of 15 percent versus the same month in 2011 and Chrysler Canada reported best July sales in the company’s history.
