POWRi Micros - Series Set To Run For Sixth Straight Year At Washington Town Fair

WASHINGTON, Aug. 3, 2012: The POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series will race for the sixth consecutive year Saturday (Aug. 4) on the one-fifth mile temporary track at the Washington (Mo.) Town and Country Fair.

Joe B. Miller of Millersville, Mo., enters the popular event leading the championship with 1,520 points. Miller has four second-place finishes, a fifth and five more top-10s in 11 events this season. He finished seventh at Washington in last year’s feature.

Aaron Andruskevitch of Riverton, Ill., is second in the points with 1,235 and Andrew Felker of Carl Junction, Mo., third with 1,080.

Felker has three victories this season, moving him into a tie for third place with 12 on the all-time list with Kevin Bayer. Felker finished fifth in the feature at Washington in 2011. The leader is three-time POWRi champion Dereck King of Vienna, Ill., with 20.

Jacob Patton of Bethalto, Ill., won last year’s feature at Washington. He’s fourth in the 2012 points with 1,035.

Jeremy Camp, the POWRi Micro champion in 2010, is fourth on the all-time wins list with nine. He’s fifth in this season’s championship with 1,025.

The Washington event will be one of POWRi’s best attended this season. An estimated crowd in excess of 5,000 watched the feature in 2011.

Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. and racing at 7.
