SAN ANTONIO--July 22, 2012: Nova Mining Corp. (OTCBB: NVMN) announced today that Company management has executed an LOI for the supply of lithium to Asia Power International Company, Ltd. of Shenzhen, China. Asia Power International is a major international manufacturer and supplier of lithium-ion batteries for the computing and smartphone industry. Asia Power International's corporate website is located at www.asiapowercn.com/about.html.
President James Dilger arrived in China last Friday for the purpose of negotiating lithium pricing with battery manufacturing companies located in Shenzhen. Since arriving in China, his negotiations have extended to include companies located in Beijing as well. Dilger has described the Chinese company's efforts to seek lithium supplies as "very aggressive".
Since his arrival in China, Mr. Dilger has decided to pursue multiple lithium supply arrangements while he is there. To provide maximum shareholder value, his focus is to leverage the best possible positions for Nova Mining during the current lithium shortage.
According to Dilger "Phenomenal Apple iPad sales, exploding smartphone manufacturing and multiple tablet brand manufacturing are openly credited with sparking this lithium shortage and prices have already tripled. It is no secret that Chinese manufacturers would want to do everything in their power to support those manufacturing efforts by not running out of the main ingredient for long-life batteries for their electronics production industry."
Nova Mining Corp. (NVMN) seeks out the most potentially lucrative mining projects, supplies and sales of strategic high-demand minerals, such as lithium, as part of its aggressive economic business model. Lithium is the main ingredient in long life batteries, like those used in many of Apple's popular electronic devices, Microsoft's new Surface tablet and Tesla Motor's new electric cars.
