Available for free, the updated ChargePoint app provides electric vehicle drivers direct access to their social network accounts including Facebook and Twitter. Drivers can easily upload check-ins, and comments to Facebook from the more than ten thousand charging spots in the United States. The mobile app continues to provide the ability to locate and check station availability and make reservations for a charging station, detailed station information including pricing and the ability to view your home charging station and its status. ChargePoint provides the industry's first and only mobile app that give drivers real-time charging station status, reservations, smart phone payments, location information and navigation.
Additional ChargePoint features include:
- Quick loading maps that look sharp and detailed. Drivers can switch between map view and list view for simple navigation.
- The ability to add, remove and recall your favorite places to charge.
- The ability to create a new ChargePoint account directly from your phone.
- New menus have been reorganized to provide quick access to your favorite functions.
The ChargePoint mobile app provides an easy way to access the world's largest EV charging network, with features to locate stations near a specified address, get turn-by-turn directions, and even start and stop a charging session directly from a smart phone. Additionally, these apps allow drivers to utilize ChargePoint's reservation feature. Drivers can now locate reservable stations, and then make, view, and cancel a reservation timeslot directly from their smart phone.
