Boston-Power Honored for EV Market Innovations And Commitments to Sustainability

WESTBOROUGH, MA--June 27, 2012: Boston-Power®, Inc., the rapidly growing provider of next-generation lithium-ion battery cells, has been named to the Sustainia100, a list of sustainable technologies that bring about economic, social, and environmental benefits and change. The Sustainia Award, presented for the most outstanding performance within sustainability, will be given at the Global Sustainability Forum in Copenhagen in September 2012.

The Sustainia100 includes people, companies and organizations spanning 56 countries and six continents, all affecting global efforts in sustainable development. Former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger serves as honorary chair of the four-person committee appointed to select the winner. He is joined by EU Commissioner Connie Hedegaard, IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri and former Prime Minister of Norway, Gro Harlem Brundtland.
