KING OF PRUSSIA, PA--June 26, 2012: Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. (OTCQB: MDHI.PK), today announced it has selected FEV of Auburn Hills, MI to conduct further tests of its MotorBooster engine catalyst product, which in preliminary tests demonstrated strong fuel mileage gains and significant emissions reductions. The new set of tests, which are expected to begin later this week and to be completed in approximately three weeks, will utilize EPA compliant equipment under highly controlled and extensively supervised conditions.
Paul Green, Vice President of Marketing at MDHI commented, "We believe we have selected one of the finest automotive testing organizations in the world to conduct these tests. FEV is an internationally recognized power train and vehicle engineering company, which employs more than 2,200 highly skilled specialists in multiple test facilities around the world. This test, which will be conducted in FEV's ISO-9001 certified facility in Michigan, will utilize some of the most advanced engine testing equipment available in North America."
The testing will establish baseline fuel consumption, horsepower, emission, and exhaust gas statistics prior to the introduction of the MotorBooster catalyst into the engine's fuel supply. After a running period where the product conditions the engine, a subsequent test protocol will be implemented and the results compared. In an earlier independent third-party dynamometer test, an engine treated with MotorBooster exhibited significant performance (fuel consumption reduction of 16.5% and an increase in horsepower by 2.9%) and emission improvements (54% reduction in carbon monoxide and 84% decline in hydrocarbons) after having been conditioned with the combustion catalyst product as compared to results before treatment.
Mr. Green continued, "We realize that product claims relative to fuel mileage increases, horsepower gains, and emission reductions are subject to a great deal of scrutiny, so we want to take all steps possible to ensure our marketing claims are backed by solid data. A highly regarded professional racing engine developer performed the prior MotorBooster testing, but we have not been able to secure the rights to use the name of the organization in our marketing efforts. We have been sure to secure the rights to use the full testing report from FEV in our marketing materials going forward, and we are in process of contracting for another laboratory to conduct additional testing to further support our marketing claims. We plan to announce these additional tests over the coming weeks."
