MELBOURNE – June 26, 2012: Holden is pleased to announce Craig Cheetham will take up the role of Director of External Communications for 12 months when Emily Perry takes maternity leave next month.
Emily’s last day in the office before taking maternity leave will be 20 July and Craig’s appointment is effective 1 August.
Craig joins Holden Corporate Affairs from his current position as Head of PR for Chevrolet UK where he has led a number of successful media programs and announcements including the Volt launch and recent Manchester United sponsorship.
Before becoming the dedicated PR manager for Chevrolet, Craig worked in the Vauxhall Press Office for five years including the last four as Product Communications Manager covering Chevrolet, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles, GM E-REV powertrains, GM UK Fleet and the Vauxhall Heritage Centre.
Previously a journalist, he was also Deputy Motoring Editor at the popular UK Auto Express magazine and produced several classic car publications.
With 12 years experience in journalism and media relations, and familiarity with shared vehicles across the Holden and Chevrolet portfolios, Craig will be a real asset to Holden in an important year for the brand.
Craig will report directly to Holden Chairman and Managing Director, Mike Devereux.
