Ford engages Bay Area innovation with new Silicon Valley Lab

The spiritual home of the computer and consumer electronics now houses the Ford Silicon Valley Lab. Chairman Bill Ford said at the grand opening Monday he hopes this lab will tap into the creativity of the people in the region and continue driving Ford forward as a leader in technology. more

Ford to cut energy use 25 percent, new Sustainability Report says

Ford has reduced the amount of energy used to produce each vehicle in its global manufacturing facilities by 22 percent in the last six years, the company said in its 13th annual Sustainability Report. Ford also announced plans to reduce usage another 25 percent on a per-vehicle basis by 2016. more
