QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA – June 5, 2012: A Kia Dealer in Brisbane’s southern suburb of Springwood, has outscored all other Australian Metropolitan Kia dealerships to receive the prestigious President’s Award for the first quarter of 2012.

Highway Kia is based on the Pacific Highway in Springwood and has been providing vehicle sales and service to the area for over 34 years.

The dealership is also one of the longest serving Kia outlets with over 20 years of service to the Korean brand.

The President’s Award is a whole business achievement award and as Highway Kia Managing Director Armand Daiga says, although it’s driven by management it is won by the team.

“The President’s Award assesses all areas of the business,” he said. “It doesn’t just look at how many vehicles you sell, it critically evaluates every section of the business from sales to marketing, customer service, training of all staff, the parts and service department and the overall look and feel of the dealership.

“To simply meet all of your targets will not win. The winning dealer needs to exceed them all by a significant margin. Therefore we are extremely excited to be recognised as one of Kia’s best dealers in Australia right now and I am very proud of the team for doing what they do so well.”

Visitors to Highway Kia will also notice a major upgrade to the Kia showroom with $200,000 recently being invested to completely redevelop the site.

“We’ve decided to give the new showroom a sharp new look to make it a more user friendly and comfortable for our customers and to bring it in line with the upgraded Kia range,” Mr Daiga said.

“I have been selling Kia’s for over 20 years and am one of the longest serving Kia Dealers. Watching the new Peter Schreyer designed models being unveiled over the last couple of years with European quality engineering under the bonnet and some local ride and handling input, is extremely reassuring as a dealer.

“The Australian public are showing confidence in the Kia range. Our job is to make sure that their showroom experience matches the quality and professionalism of the brand and by winning the President’s Award it appears our mission is being realised.”

A total of 9 Kia dealers were recipients of the President’s Award in the first quarter of the year. Muirs Kia, Werribee Kia (also metropolitan winners), John McGrath Kia, Sharp Motor Group, Central Victorian Kia (provincial winners), Port Kia, McCarroll Motors and Lithgow Valley Kia (rural winners) received either Gold, Silver or a Bronze award in their relevant category.
