LEIPZIG, GERMANY – June 1, 2012: Volkswagen is showcasing four exclusive new models at the Auto Mobil International show in Leipzig, Germany, which opens its doors on 2 June.

Volkswagen CC R Line
Adding even more sportiness to the already elegant shape of the Volkswagen CC is the new R Line edition, with 17-inch five-spoke alloys, deeper side sills, a bespoke front bumper incorporating a radiator grille guard and chrome elements above the front fog lights. Step over the R Line branded door sill protectors and inside the CC R Line also features a unique multifunction steering wheel with R Line logo.

Scirocco GTS
It’s 30 years since the Scirocco GTS first rolled off the production line, and the new Scirocco GTS tips its hat to the look of its predecessor, with coloured stripes running up the bonnet, roof and tailgate, like a racing car from the 1970s or 80s. Also unique to the GTS are the custom-designed front and rear bumpers, exposed side sills, and black

18-inch ‘Thunder’ alloy wheels (behind which sit red-painted brake calipers), while a diffuser and roof-edge spoiler from the Scirocco R finish the look. Under the bonnet is the 2.0-litre 210 PS TSI engine. The interior is dominated by red and black, and there is also a dimpled golf-ball gear lever knob. This distinctive item wasn’t just a feature of the first Golf GTI, but also the 1982 Scirocco GTS.

Beetle Fender
News of the new Beetle Fender should be music to audiophiles’ ears. Shown as a concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011, the Beetle Fender will soon be on sale in certain markets. Naturally the Beetle Fender comes with 400 Watts of high-quality Fender audio system, with a 10-channel amplifier. Just like many of Fender’s legendary guitars, the Beetle Fender’s dashboard facia is finished in two-tone ‘Sunburst’ wood, complete with a chrome Fender logo. Each Beetle Fender will also come with three limited-edition Fender guitar picks.

CrossPolo ‘Urban White’
UK motorists won’t be familiar with the CrossPolo, a rugged-looking version of the Polo complete with a raised ride height, roof rails and chunky bumpers, but it is very much part of the Polo range in Europe. The new CrossPolo ‘Urban White’ comes with a unique ‘Oryx white with mother of pearl’ paint job, black roof rails and door mirrors, dark-tinted rear windows and 17-inch ‘Budapest’ alloy wheels. Inside, the roof liner is black, as in the Polo GTI, while silver accents and silver-grey stitching help to create a special ambience.

The Beetle Fender is expected to go on sale in the UK in the first half of 2013. There are currently no plans for any of the other models listed here to be sold in the UK.
