Monte Carlo, May 22, 2012: American Conor Daly heads for the most prestigious street race in the world this weekend around the principality of Monte Carlo. Rounds two and three of the Formula One support series, GP3, will be contested in the tight confines of Monaco where discipline in addition to outright speed play an extremely important role.

Daly will go to Monaco relying heavily on his American racing background because while racing in the Formula Star Mazda and Indy Lights championships, he gained considerable experience racing on street circuits such as Long Beach and St. Petersburg. "I think I'll have an advantage in Monaco. I love street racing and have competed and won on street races in America and I think that will help me in Monaco. There is something about running close to the walls that suits my style" said Daly.

Daly goes to Monaco with great momentum. After his recent victory in Barcelona, Spain just two weeks ago, he lies second in the GP3 series points championship, just two points from the lead. Four days after his Barcelona victory, he tested a Formula One car for the first time when he helped the Sahara Force India team with their data aero mapping test session in England. "Life is good for me right now. I'm very busy but I can't wait to get to Monaco. I watched the 1982 race a few days ago when my Dad almost won and I want my chance to do something good there. I have a great team with Lotus GP who give me great cars and support and I want to see more smiles from them like I did in Barcelona" smiled Daly.
