Rally America - TrueCar's Verena Mei Preps For Oregon Trail

SANTA MONICA, May 3, 2012: TrueCar Rally America Driver, Verena Mei will compete in the third round of the Rally America National Championship Series, the Oregon Trail Rally, in Portland Oregon, May 4-6.

Mei and her co-driver Leanne Junnila of Calgary, compete as the only all-female national team in Rally America, and are currently leading Rally America’s B-Spec Championship.

“I’m really excited about Oregon Trail!” said Mei, “It’s my first west coast rally, and it’s very fast, and slightly less technical than what we’ve seen so far this season.” Mei added “I’ve been training with Tim O’Neil, learning new techniques, and fine tuning my driving to gain more speed on every stage.”

Mei and Junnila are scheduled for a live interview on Thursday, May 3 between 5:00 and 6:00 AM on NBC station KGW- TV’s morning show "Out & About with Drew Carney." After the show, Rally America fans can stop by to see Mei and her #335 TrueCar Fiesta at Pioneer Square in downtown Portland from 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
