What Could be Better than Owning an All-New Veloster? Winning One of Course!

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Apr 27, 2012: It wasn’t just the Perth Glory representing their state in the 2012 Hyundai A-League Grand Final last weekend. In a day packed full of fun and celebration, it was one avid Western Australian fan that landed a real winner when he took home a brand new Hyundai Veloster.

As one of two lucky finalists in the Hyundai A-League ‘Goal Celebrations’ Grand Final promotion, the weight of the state was on Kris Healy’s shoulders as he stepped into the Suncorp Stadium cauldron to play for the sporty Veloster.

Having been selected from a pool of national entries in a Facebook competition, Kris was flown to Brisbane to experience the blockbuster grand final featuring his home team Perth Glory and reigning Hyundai A-League champions the Brisbane Roar whist competing for the car.

Up against Celise Ralston from Queensland, Kris took to the field during half time in an inflatable Veloster for a novelty football match hoping to net the most goals to win himself an all-new Veloster +. With the scores locked at nil-all when the whistle blew, it was a five kick penalty shoot-out result of 4-2 that would see Kris claim victory, and the keys to the Veloster.

“Just to go to the Hyundai A-League Grand Final was an amazing prize in itself but then to top it off by winning a Veloster made it the experience of a lifetime,” said Kris Healy.

While it was Brisbane Roar who took home the 2012 Hyundai A-League Cup with a 3-1 win over Perth Glory, there was no taking away the winning grin from this Western Australian fan.
