Mooresville, April 23, 2012: Roush Yates Engines were fast on dirt tracks this weekend, scoring wins in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Truck Series, the United States Modified Touring Series, and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Brian Deegan captured his first win of the season in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Truck Series Pro 2 race on Saturday night with his Roush Yates Ford 436 Off-Road engine. After a two-year absence from the schedule, Deegan was glad to see the LOORS series return to Southern California's Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex. After putting down the fastest laps all weekend, Deegan started on the pole in both Saturday and Sunday night's Pro 2 race.

Kelly Shryock of Fertile, Iowa, blasted past the field to win the Battle Royale at the historic Muscatine County Fairgrounds (West Liberty, IA) on Tuesday. Shryock runs a 410 Roush Yates USMTS Spec engine in the United States Modified Touring Series. The seven-time USMTS national champion passed Mike Hejna on lap 13 in the $2,000-to-win feature and never looked back to capture his 27th main event win of the season.

Scott Bloomquist has been on a much anticipated winning streak, scoring victories in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series over the last two weeks. The 2-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion captured a win Friday night at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, PA) before a record crowd. Bloomquist had a slow start to the season but is gaining ground fast after moving up to fourth in the LOLMDS points standings.

"We decided before Virginia that we needed to start running better, the car has been flawless during the last two weeks and the Roush Yates engine has been spectacular as well." said Bloomquist. "I have to thank all my sponsors for sticking with us. We are back and it sure feels good."

"It was a great week for us on the dirt tracks," said Roush Yates CEO Doug Yates. "I'd also like to congratulate Ricky Johnson and Bryce Menzies for their wins in the Traxxas TORC Off-Road Truck Series in Charlotte this weekend.

Yates added: "Aside from providing many teams with new and refreshed engines throughout the grassroots racing arena, I can't over emphasize that Roush Yates Performance Products prides itself on providing parts and tuning services for many teams like Menzies Motorsports. Whether we're supplying engines, service, new and used parts, or just expert advice, it's always good to see any Roush Yates customer in Victory Lane."
