Make Your Own Music Track With Honda Civic Sounds
TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – Apr 18, 2012: Honda Australia has launched an interactive website called ‘Civic Sounds’, giving you the chance to win tickets to Fuji Rock Festival 2012 in Japan.
The website has an interactive soundboard with pre-recorded sounds from a Honda Civic such as a key reminder beep, car horn and door shut, enabling visitors to compose their own Civic soundtrack.
Honda Australia Director and General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Stephen Collins said; “It's all about bringing ‘symphony in motion’ to life. The website allows users to compose their own symphony from sounds produced entirely by the Honda Civic, as we did for the television commercial. It gives customers the opportunity to be creative and interact with the Civic on a different level.”
In line with the ‘Civic Sounds’ television commercial currently on air, which uses a music track of over sixty-five recorded Civic sounds, the website provides pre-recorded sounds for visitors to select. They can adjust the settings for note length, reverberation and add a rhythm to the melody with sounds such as a car door closing for a beat.
Australian band BlueJuice are the Civic Sounds’ ambassadors, and will judge the best composition and the winner of two tickets to Fuji Rock Festival 2012.
Fuji Rock Festival 2012 is held near the base of Mt. Fuji at Naeba Ski Resort in Japan and features some of music’s biggest names across seven stages, including Radiohead and The Stone Roses.
BlueJuice created their own Civic Sounds music track and a “making of” video about their experience, that can be viewed at http://youtu.be/Ljn2hH1ktAM
The competition closes on 31st May 2012 at 11:59PM (AEST) and is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over who wish to travel to Fuji Rock Festival 2012 in Japan and experience incredible live acts, courtesy of Honda Australia.
