Sprint Cup - Biffle Wins In Texas

Biffle Wins in Texas as Roush Fenway DominatesWeekend RFR wins 18th race at Texas; places three Fords in top eightof Cup race Biffle, Kenseth one-two in Sprint Cup Point Standings FT. WORTH, April 15, 2012: Roush Fenway’s Greg Biffle led 91 laps in Saturday night’sSprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway, taking the lead for the final timewith 31 laps remaining and powering his No.16 Filtrete/3M Ford Fusion to the victory.Biffle led a strong RFR outing, with Matt Kenseth leading 15 laps in afifth-place finish and Carl Edwards rebounding from a pit-road penalty to finisheighth.

“It means a lot,” said Biffle, the Sprint Cup point leader invictory lane. “I was bound and determined to put this Filtrete/3M Ford Fusionback into victory lane tonight. I just have to thank crew chief Matt Puccia andall the fans for sticking behind the team.”

It was the seventh Sprit Cup victory on a mile and a halftrack for Biffle, who collected his 17th Cup victory. The win is the17th in the Sprint Cup Series for Biffle and his second Cup win atTexas.

The win gave Roush Fenway the weekend sweep in the SprintCup and Nationwide Series at TMS, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. doing the honors forRFR in Friday night’s event. It marked the 18th NASCAR win for RFRat Texas and its record-extending ninth Texas win in the Sprint Cup Series. Itis Roush Fenway’s 303rd NASCAR victory.

Biffle extended his Sprint Cup points lead to 19 markersover teammate Kenseth, who moved up two spots to second place.
