Chrysler sales up 70 percent in March

Chrysler Australia Pty Ltd, which distributes the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands in Australia, has announced a tremendous March result, with the combined brands recording 1,768 sales for an increase of 70 per cent compared to March 2011.
MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – Apr 5, 2012: The strong March sales result adds to equally strong January and February sales for the American company, with an all-time record result for the first quarter of 4,567 sales, which showed an increase of 78.4 percent in comparison to the first quarter 2011 (2,612 sales).
All time records the company has recorded in 2012 include:
Clyde Campbell, CAPL’s managing director, said that the star performer for the company during the month was the luxury SUV, the Chryler Jeep Grand Cherokee.
“Our Grand Cherokee sold 629 vehicles during March, which is a fantastic result. It is more than 277 percent up on the same period last year.
“And we’re just about to launch some all new models, including the SRT8 Grand Cherokee, and the new 300C, which will accelerate the brands’ growth even more,” Campbell said.
