Honda Partners with WOMADelaide

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – March 9, 2012: Honda Australia has partnered with South Australian arts, culture and entertainment festival, WOMADelaide (World Of Music, Arts and Dance) to promote the recently launched 2011 Wheels Car of the Year, the Honda CR-Z and the all-new Honda Civic.
The annual event is held in the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Gardens, with a record breaking 90,000 attendees last year. Running from Friday, March 9 to Monday, March 12, WOMADelaide showcases more than fifty artists, including performances by Blue King Brown and DJ Jumps (The Cat Empire).
“The Honda Civic is a proud supporter of the music and cultural festival, WOMADelaide. This partnership gives Honda the opportunity to exhibit the recently launched Civic, branded as ‘symphony in motion,’ to express how harmoniously each aspect of the Civic works together,” said Honda Australia Spokesperson, Mr. Lindsay Smalley.
Seven outdoor stages, music workshops with musicians, cooking demonstrations from international and celebrity chefs, visual art exhibitions, a healing village, a global food, art and craft village and an entertainment zone for children and families are all on the festival menu.
Drive’s 2011 Car of The Year Best People Mover, the Honda Odyssey and the hybrid Honda Insight will be operating as official event vehicles, transporting musicians to and from the venue.
Showcasing Honda’s newest models, Wheels Car of the Year 2011 the Honda CR-Z, and the all-new Honda Civic will be on display in the gardens.
