FYI: Nissan Buyer's Guide
New electric vehicle charge points have been installed across Lewisham, Hackney and Hounslow under the government funded Source London scheme, helping to support the rising demand for public charge points by drivers of electric vehicles such as the Nissan Leaf. Nine new street side charge points have been installed by leading UK charge point provider POD Point and incorporate their new fast charge technology, which enables a car to gain a full charge in just three hours. It is expected however, that drivers will use these new street side POD Points for top-ups or grazing, where an hour of charging would provide a thirty mile battery boost. Source London is part of the government backed Plugged in Places initiative to provide the region with funding to introduce electric vehicle charge points into public places. These new additions bring the total number of live POD Points in London to 60, situated across the city, including public car parks, airports, leisure centres, retail car parks and hospitals.
