Subaru Captures Top Marks; Honda Leaps to Second in Web Site's Grades for Manufacturers and Brands

Hyundai Continues to Receive Top Grades; Mitsubishi and Porsche Join Saab and Suzuki With the Lowest Grades

SANTA MONICA, Calif Oct. 17, 2011: TrueCar.com, released its Performance Scorecards for automotive manufacturers and brands.  The Performance Scorecards grade each manufacturer and brand on eight different measurements including pricing, sales, incentives, customer loyalty, market share and days in inventory data.

Overall, the top manufacturers on the Scorecards in October were Subaru, Honda and Hyundai. Near the bottom of the list were Suzuki, Saab, Mitsubishi and Porsche.  The brands that received the highest grades were MINI, Scion and Subaru and the brands with the lowest grades were Suzuki, Saab, Mitsubishi and Porsche.

The biggest gainers among manufacturers, from August 2011 to September 2011 were:

  • Honda moved from a D+ to an A
  • Volkswagen moved from a C+ to a B
  • Ford moved from a C to an B-

The biggest decliners among manufacturers, from August 2011 to September 2011 were:

  • Jaguar moved from an A to a C+
  • Toyota moved from a B+ to a B-
  • Porsche moved from a B- to a C-
  • Mitsubishi moved from a C+ to a C-
