Motorsports Venues - Talladega Superspeedway To Host Fan Fest And Hauler Parade

TALLADEGA, Oct. 14, 2011: Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track, will host a special fan fest and hauler parade at The Outlet Shops of Grand River, a distinctive outlet shopping destination located minutes from Downtown Birmingham in Leeds, Thursday, Oct. 20 from 3-6 p.m.

Race fans will have the chance to see the giant machines responsible for safely transporting the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars and equipment across the country. The free event will also feature an array of family-friendly activities, ending with a hauler parade to the track.

“We wanted to make this an event tailored especially for our Greater Birmingham-area fans,” said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch. “We’re very appreciative of the teams that have joined us to make this a fun-filled and memorable evening for all. Kids will especially enjoy seeing the colorful haulers up close and participating in the activities we have planned.”

The Talladega Superspeedway Fan Fest & Hauler Parade event will also include:

Prizes and give-aways from The Outlet Shops of Grand River and its family of leading designer and top name brand stores including The Old Farmer’s Almanac General Store, VF Outlet, Black & Decker Clearance Center, Sunglass Warehouse, Ghirardelli Chocolate and more.

The hauler parade will depart The Outlet Shops of Grand River at 6:15 pm and is expected to arrive at Talladega Superspeedway at approximately 6:45 pm. Race fans located in the campgrounds are encouraged to turn their attention to Speedway Blvd. and watch the parade as it makes its way into the track.
