Kia Concept

Hyundai’s sister brand comes up with a concept car that (also) shows a new design direction. It is a sporty rear wheel drive four door sedan, based on the Hyundai Genesis. Paul Philpott, Kia’s European chief, recently said to German colleagues that within three to four years, Kia will introduce a sports car.
Lamborghini Jota
The Italians will introduce the Jota, the successor of the Murcielago. It is expected that the new super car will have more than 700 hp of engine power. Further details are not known yet.
Lancia with five new models

Lancia will present the production model of the Flavia, that debuted in Geneva in March. The Flavia will exclusively be built as a convertible and is basically a re-badged version of the Chrysler 300 C. The new Thema will also be on stage, as well as the Lancia Voyager, again a re-badged Chrysler.
Land Rover DC100 Defender Concept

With the DC, Defender Concept, Land Rover shows what it is up to in the near future. The successor of the original Land Rover has to take over the relay in 2015, now the current technology is outdated. The Defender-of-the-future will have the same practicality and functionality.
Lexus GS 450h Hybrid
The world premiere of the hybrid Lexus 450h shows that the Toyota division is dead serious with the development and market introduction of hybrids. We may expect a larger 450 with lower fuel consumption, excellent driving dynamics and up-to-date safety equipment.
Mazda CX-5

The CX-5 is ready to meet the competition in the compact SUV segment. The design is fully in line with Mazda’s new Kodo stying and derived from the Minago concept car that debuted in Geneva. The upcoming production model will get Mazda’s new, fuel efficient Skyactiv engines. The CX-5 is expected to arrive in the show rooms early next year.
Mercedes B-klasse

Of course, Mercedes-Benz will continue to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the automobile. In Frankfurt there will be no less than five world premieres the F 125, a study for a zero emission model in the not too far future, the new B-Class, the new SLS AMG Roadster, SLK 250 CDI and the SLK 55 AMG.
Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg will unveil the new AMG Mercedes C-Coupe, the car that will be raced by Gary Paffett next year in the DTM, the German Touring car Championship.
Mini Coupé
We already published the first drive with the Mini Coupe, but the visitors of the show will get a first opportunity to get a look The fifth Mini model will arrive at dealerships on October 1st and will be joined by number 6 – the Roadster – next year..

Nissan 200 SX
It looks like Nissan revived its plans for a new small sports car. Technically it can be the successor of the 200 SX. But we expect the new model to get an electric motor. At first we heard that it would be based on the platform of the 370 Z, but we heard that it will get the electric drive of the Leaf. Probably due for introduction in 2013..
Electric Opel
Not much is known about GM’s plans to introduce an electric Opel model. Even so, it will be arriving on European and English markets as Opel and Vauxhall respectively..

Peugeot HX1

Peugeot will bring the HX1 concept car on stage. It is a six seater sedan like MPV. The news recently was leaked, but Peugeot gives no comment. What we do know though, is that the French will unveil the new 308 and that there will be new technology, such as e-HDI micro hybrid technology for the 308 and 508. This includes a Stop&Start system of the latest generation, which will be available for other models in a later stage.
Porsche 911

No doubt also the Porsche 911 Carrera will draw crowds. The new generation has a longer wheel base, a lower height and sits on 2-inch wheels. It gets the new 350 hp strong 3.4-liter Boxer that can optionally be teamed to PDK (Porsche DoppelKupplingsgetriebe). The combination has better fuel efficiency (8,2 l/100 km in the EU cycle) and a CO2-emission of 194 g/km. The Carrera S gets the 3.8-liter boxer with 300 hp. With PDK it ‘sips’ 8,7 l/100km and has a CO2-emission of 205 g/km.

Renault shows the Frendzy concept, an electric family car that also can serve as a mobile office. It has a suicide door on the left side and is the fourth model of the series that has the Dezir, Capture and R-Space..
Sanggyong SUV XUV 1
Sanggyong came, left and is back again - now with a compact XUV1. We are getting to see the car and get more details at the show, as well as the brand’s plans for the European markets.
Seat Exeo facelift
The Spanish Volkswagen division released details and pictures of the new Exeo some time ago. We see new bi-xenon head lights, new light alloy wheels and upscale materials in the interior.
Skoda MissionL Concept

Another division of Volkswagen, the Czech this time, shows a concept car for the successor of its most popular model, the Octavia. Although VW talks about a sixth model line, we think the MissionL Concept shows the sedan that will be on the European, Russian and Chinese markets.
Smart ForVision Concept
The electric ForVision concept car shows the upcoming third generation of smart. After 13 years, the pioneer of the micro car has to deal with more and more competitors, so it is time for a fresh breeze with a new design and clever technology.
Subaru BRZ and XV
Subaru showed us just a teaser of the XC crossover and the BRZ 2+2 sports car. The XC is based on the Impreza and developed as ‘Urban Adventure’ CUV with all-wheel drive and a 2-liter boxer that works together with CVT-transmission. The letters BRZ for the 2+2 coupe mean Boxer, Rear-wheel drive and Zenith. The model has been developed together with Toyota that up until now has used the work name FT-86.
Toyota Avensis and Prius Family
The world premiers at the Toyota stand are for the Avensis and the new Prius family. The Prius is up to date in line with the Plug-in hybrid model and the seven seater Prius+.
Toyota will also show the three door model of the new Yaris at the IAA.
Volkwagen Nils, Beetle, Tiguan and Golf Cabrio
The electric Nils (LINK >>>>>>>>>)has been designed for commuting in future mega cities. More realistic are the new Beetle, Tiguan and Golf Cabrio that will take the stage in Frankfurt as well. VW has a 30 meter long interactive wall where visitors will see the company’s vision for the future as well as details of the new cars, innovations and sustainable technologies.
Volvo XC90

After nine years, the XC90 is still going strong. But with a face lift Volvo wants to take the model into the next couple of years. With a new bumper, silver metallic roof rails, running daylight and led-rear lights, this should do. Important is also the introduction of Volvo On Call, that allows the driver to communicate with its car from a distance, for instance to preheat it from a mobile phone.
