Sébastien Guigues, New Marketing Director of SEAT Spain

MARTORELL, SPAIN – July 18, 2011: Sébastien Guigues (33), from Avignon, France, has been appointed as the new head of Marketing for SEAT in Spain starting on 1 July, reporting directly to SEAT Spain Director Vicente Adrián.

He is replacing Artur Martins, who is moving on to pursue other functions within the Volkswagen Group.

Sébastien Guigues joined the Consortium in 2001 as a controller in Volkswagen Group France. He later joined SEAT in 2004 to work in the Foreign Market department, within the logistics project for France and Central Fleets.

In 2007, Guigues was made responsible for SEAT Spain Fleets and RAC (rent-a-car). He held this post until 2009, when he returned to the Foreign Market department as regional manager for France and Italy until currently.

Sébastien Guigues holds an MBA from the Marseille School of Management and Business – University of Valencia.

He is married and has a son.

SEAT is the only company in its sector with the full-range capacity to design, develop, manufacture and market cars in Spain. The Volkswagen Group production facility at Palmela in Portugal supplies the SEAT Alhambra.

The Spanish multinational also has a Technical Centre, a ‘knowledge hub’ bringing together more than 900 engineers whose goal is to be the driving force behind innovation for the number one industrial investor in R&D+i in Spain. In line with its declared commitment to environmental protection, SEAT undertakes and bases its core activity on sustainability, namely reduction of CO2 emissions, energy efficiency, as well as recycling and re-using of resources.
