SYDNEY – July 1, 2011: Hyundai Motor Company Australia has again joined forces with Australian fashion designer Charlie Brown, one of Australia’s leading fashion labels, at the 2011 Australian International Motor Show.

The collaboration saw Hyundai’s vehicle reveal at this year’s motor show morph with a Charlie Brown fashion show. Specifically designed dresses by Charlie Brown with ‘fluidic’ trains were draped over the new Hyundai vehicles.

The fluidic dresses flowed off the vehicles as Charlie Brown ambassador and Miss Universe Australia 2008, Laura Dundovic and other models strutted the cat-walk revealing the all-new Elantra, the all-new Accent Sedan, the all-new Accent Hatch and the i40 Tourer - all which embody Hyundai’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design philosophy.

The design philosophy utilises flowing lines inspired by nature to create a dynamic exterior.

“We are delighted to work with Hyundai,” said designer Charlie Brown. “Hyundai vehicles represent quality and innovative design, which is what the Charlie Brown label also encapsulates.”

One of Australia’s most iconic fashion designers, Charlie Brown, is best known for featuring famous international celebrities at her fashion shows including; Linda Evangelista, Helena Christiansen, Sophie Dahl, Jerry Hall, Jodie Kidd, Jade Jagger and Nicky Hilton.

Charlie Brown’s seasonal collection campaigns have also showcased the famous faces of Lara Feltham, Cathy Freeman and more recently former Miss Universe Australia, Laura Dundovic.

“Hyundai’s design is now at the forefront of the automotive industry, offering style and functionality” said Charlie Brown ambassador and Miss Universe Australia 2008, Laura Dundovic. “I have recently been driving an i45 and it is truly class-leading.”
