New Paint Shop for Chrysler

What:
Fred Goedtel, Vice President and Head of Assembly Operations, Chrysler Group LLC; Congressman Gary Peters; Mark Hackel, Macomb County Executive; and Sterling Heights Mayor Richard Notte will join UAW representatives and invited guests to celebrate the beginning of construction of a new paint shop at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. The company announced in October 2010 that it was investing $850 million to update the plant with a state-of-the-art paint shop for the production of future products.

Media parking is in the North Employee Parking Lot. The lot entrance is immediately south of 16-1/2 Mile on Van Dyke. There is a stop light at the parking lot entrance. Follow the signage to check-in table and groundbreaking site.
