MULGRAVE, ASUTRALIA – June 8, 2011: After a successful career with the BMW Group in Australia, England and Munich, BMW Australia announced today the resignation of David Woollcott, National Manager MINI Australia.

Mr Woollcott departs to take up a senior executive position with a global consumer brand.

Mr Woollcott, whose career spans over a decade with the BMW Group, commenced in 1999 as a Mechanical Engineer, moving on to various positions ranging from Special Vehicles and Sales, Product Trainer, and Sales & Marketing Manager before he rejoined BMW Group Australia as National Manager MINI.

BMW Group Australia Managing Director, Phil Horton, expressed gratitude for Mr Woollcott’s passion and enthusiasm for the expanding MINI brand in Australia.

“In an extremely competitive market, David has shown unwavering enthusiasm and commitment, and has succeeded in evolving the MINI brand.

“I know his decision to leave us has been a very tough one for him, however he was presented an exciting opportunity completely outside of the automotive industry, and we wish him every success,” he said.

Mr Woollcott’s final day will be August 5, with a replacement to be advised shortly.

Mr Woollcott will be taking ownership of a new MINI Countryman shortly in order to perpetuate his love of all things MINI well into the future.
