smart Pixel Project Winner Announced

SYDNEY – June 1, 2011: Launched at the 2011 Qantas Australian Grand Prix, the smart Pixel Project is a large photographic montage made up of smart drivers and fans, coming together to form one bold image – a symbol of the smart community. Entrants had their photo taken in front of a smart at one of the smart Pixel Project sites located in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

smart Australia is pleased to announce Jason Catlow as the winner of the 2011 smart Pixel Project competition. Jason receives the keys to a brand new 2011 smart fortwo 52 kW cabrio valued at $28,800 MLP. The facelifted smart includes an updated interior with cruise control, 3-spoke sports steering wheel and a new audio system with USB/Aux integration. The exterior has also been upgraded with the addition of daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels and an extended colour range.

Jason was overcome with emotion when he received the call from Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Horst von Sanden, explaining “I can’t believe it! I just got out of rehab after having open heart surgery. I just can’t believe it”. von Sanden was extremely pleased for Jason saying “It’s not everyday that you win a car”.
