May 20th 2011 - Visitors to the first Tyrexpo India 2011 exhibition in Chennai will experience a fascinating and commercially valuable insight into the dynamics of the Indian tyre market.

"The emergence of India as a major player in the global tyre market has created an enormous amount of interest among international manufacturers and suppliers," says Rowena Suthers of exhibition organiser ECI International.

"Prior to Tyrexpo India there has been little opportunity for interested parties to meet a broad cross section of suppliers at a single event. But by bringing together a tight, dedicated, trade-only exhibition we can offer a fascinating, close-up insight into the market. I've no doubt that will prove to be of great interest and commercial value to any organisation looking to do business in India," she adds.

With weeks to go before the show opens in early July, ECI report a surge of domestic and international businesses confirming their participation at the exhibition, including tyre manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of tyres, rubber, machinery, services and equipment.

Indian companies such as Agarwal Rubber, BKT, Bainite Machines, Bharaj Machineries, Danfoss Industries, Elgi Rubber, Faro Business Technologies, Luwa India, Malhotra, Rajmahal, Rubberking, Speedways, Sundaram, TM Tyres, Trident and Venture Technologies and many others are among domestic businesses who have committed to exhibiting at the new show.

Pune-based Trident specialises in the export and distribution of tyres and wheels for the materials handling, construction, mining and agricultural sectors. "Close interaction with customers over the last 15 years has helped us to understand the issues faced by them and to develop products and solutions that address specific market requirements," explains Trident Director Shyam Gyanani.

"Our focus has been to offer broad market products that deliver performance and value. With growing industrialisation, increased mechanisation and rapid infrastructure development in the region, we see an increased demand for industrial and construction tyres. We will use our presence at Tyrexpo India to display ranges of our industrial, construction and farm equipment tyres," he adds.

Trident offers a wide range of sizes that conform to international standards, with the range constantly being expanded. Products are distributed in over 25 countries including the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Agarwal Rubber from Andhra Pradesh is another exhibitor looking to Tyrexpo India to support its ambitious growth targets, which seek a three-fold increase in turnover and capacity by the end of 2012.

Agarwal produces tyres, butyl tubes, flaps, curing bags, bladders and envelopes with well-known brand names such as ARL & MARUTI. These are sold through a network of 52 exclusive distributors in India and exported to 34 countries worldwide. Its aviation and OTR tubes are supplied as OEM equipment to prestige customers such as Bharat Earth Movers, Hindustan Aeronautics, the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army.

European suppliers in Chennai will include family owned Italian company MAE Industria Gomma Srl, which has supplied retreading customers with high quality products for 30 years. Despite a well-established presence in more than 50 countries, including China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore, it is still relatively new to the Indian market, a situation it hopes to address at Tyrexpo India in July.

"Of course India is a developing market which should hold great potential for our products," explains MAE director Giampaolo Malatesta. "Our success around the world has been based on close relationships with distributors and this is something we would like to replicate in India." Specialising in products such as curing tubes and bladders, inner and outer envelopes and patches, MAE aims to offer its customers the lowest cost-per-cure value, which is a proposition it will be promoting in Chennai in July.

Tyrexpo India 2011 takes place at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai on the 5, 6 and 7 July 2011. Show days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. More details about Tyrexpo India and ECI International's other tyre and equipment exhibitions can be found at ECI
