Relevant Connections: Saab Buyer's Guide

RICHFIELD, OH--May 3, 2011 -- OEConnection LLC, the leading online parts and service exchange for the automotive industry, announced today that it has signed an agreement to provide its core parts supply chain network solution to SAAB Cars North America. In a move designed to enhance parts supply chain performance and meet growing demands for faster parts fulfillment, OEConnection will provide D2DLink -- the industry's most comprehensive web-based parts marketing and sourcing solution -- to Saab's network of approximately 200 independently-owned and franchised dealerships throughout the United States.

Serving as a virtual parts warehouse, D2DLink will allow Saab dealership parts departments to quickly and easily locate, buy, sell and market parts to fellow retailers throughout Saab's U.S. dealerships. Saab joins numerous automotive and non-automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Canada that have embraced this technology. As with all OEConnection web-based solutions, the mission of D2DLink is to help dealerships sell more original equipment parts, increase customer satisfaction, and improve dealer parts department efficiencies.

Charles Rotuno, OEConnection President & CEO, said, "D2DLink is designed to speed parts delivery and vehicle turnaround while improving customer satisfaction for greater brand and dealer loyalty. Our expertise in web-based technology for the automotive industry allows us to provide Saab dealerships with a solution to proactively manage their OE parts inventories." He added, "By utilizing D2DLink, Saab dealers will create a virtual parts inventory, accessible at any time from any location, and capable of improving dealer responsiveness and overall performance."

Gary Dagesse, National Sales Manager for Saab Cars North America (SCNA), commented, "Saab's previous experiences with the D2DLink solution were very beneficial and ultimately increased parts sales and improved customer satisfaction. SCNA is excited to offer this solution to all of our U.S. franchise dealers." He added, "This agreement with OEConnection represents an integral part of our growth strategy and demonstrates our commitment to improving Saab Cars North America's parts supply chain infrastructure."

The online parts supply network solution from OEConnection is scheduled to rollout to Saab Cars Automobile USA's independently-owned and franchised dealerships this month.
