British Le Mans Star Darren Turner Available To Interview For Le Mans Preview
GAYDON, UNITED KINGDOM - April 21, 2011: All media are invited to register their interest to interview Darren Turner, two time GT1 Le Mans winner ahead of the 2011 Le Mans 24 hour race.
In 2011 Aston Martin Racing will be contesting the new ground-up developed AMR-One LMP1 petrol powered car against the might of the larger factory teams and their diesel racers at the famous 24 hour endurance race on 11-12 June. Designed, engineered and built in England at Aston Martin Racing’s headquarters in Banbury, the British crew will be attending Le Mans Test on Easter Sunday and the 6 hours of Spa two weeks later.
Darren Turner (GB) will be available for telephone interviews to discuss how the AMR-One development process has been going, his initial thoughts from the Paul Ricard test race in early April and his expectations for this year’s endurance epic and beyond.
Darren will be able to explain the technicalities of developing the new AMR-One from a driver perspective, discuss tactics for the 24 hours, run through a lap of Le Mans and talk about driver fitness in staying physically and mentally fit.
For those who will be attending Le Mans Test, face to face interviews can be arranged with all the factory drivers including: Adrian Fernandez (MX), Christian Klien (A), Andy Meyrick (GB), Stefan Mücke (D), Harold Primat (CH) and Darren Turner (GB) during the weekend.
