Junior Open Wheel Racing Young Gun signs with Team Wilson for ARCA Trucks Series

St. Marys, March, 20, 2011: It was announced today that 20 yr. old junior open wheel racing standout Corey Dalenberg of Bellville, OH has signed an agreement to race with Wilson Motorsports and Team Wilson Driver Development in the ARCA Truck Series during the 2011 season. “Corey is an energetic young man with a lot of ability,” said team owner Frank Wilson. “He has a goal of racing at the highest levels and we are excited about working to get him there.”

Dalenberg, of Bellville, OH is a veteran of the open wheel ranks. The young talent has set the pace with many track records, pole positions and wins throughout his career. Corey has competed in many forms of motorsports in his 10 yr career, winning karting championships, the 2007 SCCA Formula Car Magazine National FE Championship and raced select races in FBMW Americas series. “I made the decision to give oval racing a try and after meeting with Frank and his staff at the PRI Show in December it became clear to me that they could help me reach my goals in 2011,” said Dalenberg.

Corey is currently attending North Central State College in Mansfield, Ohio and majoring in marketing to help further his career. “My Goal is to compete in all the ARCA Truck Series races in 2011 and win the 2011 ARCA Truck Championship,” exclaimed Dalenberg. “The ARCA Truck Series is a very competitive series that has proven to be a good stepping stone to bigger and better things and I feel it is a good starting point for my oval track career.”

Corey is also partnered with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. “I feel this is a very important cause, there are too many children missing from their families in the US and if I can help bring awareness to them, maybe we can help bring them home where they belong.” said Corey.
