NEW SMYRNA, March 22, 2011: USARacing Pro Cup Series veteran A.J. Frank had high hopes for New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway in the 2011 season-opener. Unfortunately, an engine failure in the final practice prevented Frank and his Odle Motorsports team from competing in the USARacing Pro Cup 250 presented by Kangaroo Express.

Leading up to the final practice, Frank showed that he had a car to contend with and likely could have been the man to beat in his first tango at New Smyrna. The team now only wonders what if. "It's a real blow to our team," said Frank, who had hopes of making his 79th career USARacing start.
