Sebring, Mar. 18, 2011: For the 2011 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Series presented by Mazda, the first qualifying session yesterday was shortened due to fog on track at Sebring International Raceway, but this morning, the track cleared just in time for Round 2 qualifying. MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Trent Hindman picked up his first California Scents Pole Award for the season after an intense qualifying session. Drivers drove clean, but many drivers set fast laps in the session including Brandon Newey, who will be starting from second position later this afternoon. Sophomore Scott Anderson will start third and Rookie Remo Ruscitti will start fourth, after setting up some impressive laps. MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Danilo Estrela will round out the top five. Yesterday’s Round 1 race winner Thomas McGregor will start seventh. The green flag for Round 2 flies this afternoon at 12:45pm EST.
