The Auto Channel's PRESS PASS COVERAGE Direct from the 81st International Motor Show in Geneva

March 1, 2011: The Auto Channel is pleased to once again bring you the most complete and comprehensive coverage of the Geneva Motor Show, one of the world's great automotive expositions.

In the 7 exhibition halls of Geneva's Palexpo Exhibition Center, some 80,000 square meters will be occupied by 260 exhibitors representing more than 700 brands from 31 different countries. One entire hall will be dedicated to automobile accessories and equipment suppliers.

Among the new exhibitors this year will be the preparation specialists Kellener Sport, MTM and Novidem, plus the bodywork designer Invader. In addition, the manufacturer GTA Motor will be presenting at the Geneva Show for the first time. The marque De Tomaso will return after a 9 year absence, as well as Ssangyong from Korea, which has missed the last two editions.

The are two press days at the Geneva show. The first, today is typically reserved for vehicle manufacturers' new vehicle introductions and the second day is primary dedicated to aftermarket and accessory manufacturers press briefings. Approximately 65 new vehicles are scheduled to be introduced during this year's event. The first press conference on the schedule today is the Porsche presentation at 7:30AM CET (1:30AM New York time). will be presenting video highlights and the complete press conferences as soon as they are available and, as always, we will make them continuously available for on-demand access.

The Geneva International Motor Show will open to the public on Thursday, March 3, 2011. President of the Swiss Confederation, Mrs. Micheline Calmy-Rey, is expected to be in attendance.
