Volvo Appoints Local Executive As Managing Director

SYDNEY – February 21, 2011: Volvo Car Australia has announced the appointment of Matt Braid to the position of managing director, effective 1 March 2011.

Mr Braid, 39, has been with Volvo Car Australia since 2003 during which time he has held the positions of marketing director and, most recently, sales director.

Prior to his tenure with Volvo Car Australia, Mr Braid held numerous positions within the Australian automotive industry at GM Holden and Volkswagen Distributors as well as heading up the Import & Retail Operations of the Bin Daher Group based in the Middle East.

Mr Braid is married with two children.

Volvo Car Australia has an exciting year ahead following the recently launch of the all-new Volvo S60 and the imminent launch of the new Volvo V60.
