"We are looking forward to contesting both the GP3 Series and the Formula 3 Euro Series with Nigel," said Team Principal Peter Mücke. "Nigel will gather a lot of experiences that will prove to be beneficial for both him as a driver and our team. We hope for being able to battle it out for the top positions, with him."
Nigel Melker is anything but an unknown quantity, for Mücke Motorsport. After all, team and driver jointly contested the 2010 GP3 season. And at Barcelona, Melker made history by securing the very first pole position in the history of the series. In addition, the Dutchman also has got some Formula 3 experience under his belt. He competed in the 2010 edition of the ‚Masters of Formula 3' at Zandvoort but there, he failed to make it to the top 10.
