QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA – January 28, 2011: With floods wreaking havoc across Queensland, Victoria and NSW over the last number of weeks, Mahindra Automotive Australia (MAA) has shown their support by offering a $1,000 discount off drive away prices on their 2.5 lit CRDe Mahindra Pik-Up vehicles in affected regions until April 30, 2011.

Dinesh Choudhari, Chief Operating Officer, Mahindra Automotive Australia said, “This is such a heart wrenching situation that has affected many thousands of people, particularly in rural areas. We would like to show our support by making this offer to any individuals or businesses affected by the floods in the hope that we can help in some small way.”

The MAA offer for the $1,000 discount can be found on the website www.flooddiscounts.com.au under the Automotive & Caravans category (http://www.flooddiscounts.com.au/discount-categories/automotive/mahindra-automotive-australia.html)

The offer entitles the purchaser to a $1,000 discount over and above any sales campaign MAA is running at the time of purchase up until 30th April 2011. The purchaser can download the offer and take it to any Mahindra dealership in line with terms and conditions stated on the offer.

The Mahindra Pik-Up, which was designed to withstand the harshest of Australian conditions, has an economical 2.5 litre intercooled common rail turbo charged diesel engine, and additional safety features such as ABS brakes and dual front airbags, which were introduced mid-2009.

Available in an array of colours and offering extensive standard features including limited slip differentials on both two and four wheel drive models, the Mahindra Pik-Up has 210mm ground clearance, 24 hour road side assist, colour-coded bumpers, power windows/steering/mirrors and an 80 litre fuel tank, 1 tonne payload, and 2.5 tonne towing capacity, perfect for those road trips with family and friends this coming Summer.

It also comes standard with creature comforts such as air conditioning front and rear, tilt steering, load adjusting headlamps, remote central locking with immobiliser and a sound system with full CD/MP player and radio, USB port and an SD card port that allows one to listen to music from a variety of sources – with safety-first audio controls on the steering wheel.

Ergonomic seating, foot steps, fog lights, front and rear demisters and follow-me-home headlights are also standard. The instrument cluster has a contemporary look with all controls designed with ease of access and operation in mind. For security purposes, the Mahindra Pik-Up is fitted with an alarm and immobiliser, and offers keyless entry as standard equipment.
