AUBURN, Calif.--ClipperCreek, Inc. announced today that it shipped its 4,000th electric vehicle charging station since January of 2009. The company has enjoyed a significant increase in business over the last couple of months as customers take advantage of the, soon to expire, 50% federal tax credit.
"We continue to be the only EVSE manufacturer with product readily available," said Dave Packard, President of ClipperCreek, "Our customers have been pleased to find a market tested EVSE, that has been approved by all major car makers, and that can be installed by their own electrician."
ClipperCreek said it has also seen strong demand from retail outlets looking to install Free charge stations for their customers. "Fifty cents worth of electricity is a small price to pay to have a customer in my store for an hour," said one Lowe's manager.
"The industry is way behind in the planned rollout of public infrastructure," said Jason France, ClipperCreek's CEO. "Tax dollar supported programs that were intended to get the needed infrastructure in place are way behind for one reason or another."
ClipperCreek is shipping product to the US, Europe and Asia.
