Volkswagen Group With New Management Structure in Russia

WOLFSBURG - 8, December: The Volkswagen Group is realigning its management structure in Russia having completed the development phase at the Kaluga plant and successfully established a sales network. Marcus Osegowitsch (43), Managing Director Sales, takes over as General Director of VW Group Rus from Dietmar Korzekwa (60), who retires on January 1. Dr. Josef Baumert (45) becomes plant manager in Kaluga. Henry Mehnert (58) takes charge of human resources from February 1. He succeeds Jaroslav Holecek (54), who will assume new responsibilities within the Group.

Marcus Osegowitsch held various positions at Accenture from 1996 to 2003, latterly as managing director and managing partner. He then became managing director at BBDO Consulting. He joined Volkswagen in 2006 as head of strategic planning and project development at the Volkswagen Genuine Parts Center in Kassel, where the engineering graduate, who also holds an MBA, was appointed Head of the Group Supply Chain in 2007. Osegowitsch has been Managing Director Sales and Deputy General Director of Volkswagen Group Rus since September 2010.

Dr. Josef Baumert is currently responsible for location planning in Wolfsburg and heads the Group body construction working committee. Baumert, who holds a doctorate in biology and a degree in industrial engineering, joined the Volkswagen Group in 1995; during his time at Volkswagen de México he was inter alia in charge of technical production services and he headed body construction for the Golf Variant and Bora in Wolfsburg from 2001. He became head of production planning in the press shop and body construction at Wolfsburg in 2004, assuming responsibility for production technology for the Golf, Golf Plus and Tiguan model ranges in 2006. He has been in charge of overall planning at the Wolfsburg location since April 2010.

Henry Mehnert studied business management and joined Volkswagen Sachsen in 1992. He headed human resources at the Chemnitz plant until 1995. He was in charge of the central human resources department at the Zwickau plant from 1996, subsequently assuming responsibility for all HR activities in 1999. He has been Director Human Resources and Industrial Relations at Volkswagen Sachsen since May 2008.

Jaroslav Holecek joined Volkswagen Slovakia as an engineer in 1992. He was named head of HR in 1994 and appointed to the Board of Management of Volkswagen Slovakia in 1999. He moved to the Management Board of the Autoeuropa plant in Portugal in 2001, taking responsibility for HR there. He returned to Volkswagen Slovakia as the Board member for HR in 2005. He has been Managing Director for HR in Kaluga since September 2008.

Dietmar Korzekwa studied mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. He began his career at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg in 1980. In 1993 he became head of plant logistics there, also taking charge of automotive production from 1997 to 1998. He was appointed spokesperson of the management board of Sitech GmbH in 2001, and was named plant manager at Wolfsburg in 2004. He was appointed Group Representative for Russia in July 2007 and also assumed the function of General Director, Volkswagen Group Rus, in January 2009.
