Audi Australia Announces Three New Senior Appointments

ZETLAND, AUSTRALIA – December 1, 2010:
Andrew Doyle
Audi Australia General Manager Sales Andrew Doyle
has been appointed the Director of the Audi Brand in Volkswagen Group
Ireland, and will commence on 1 January 2011. Mr Doyle joined the company
in June 2005 after many years in the premium automotive sector. During his
term as General Manager Sales Audi Australia has more than tripled sales
and market share thanks, in considerable part, to his commitment to
strengthening the national dealer network. He will continue his focus on
growing the Audi brand in his new role in Ireland, beginning in the new
year.
Carlos Santos
Audi Australia welcomes Carlos Santos in his new
role as Audi Australia General Manager Sales, commencing 13 December 2010.
Mr Santos brings to his new role extensive and diverse experience in the
automotive industry, in retail and wholesale environments, and has held
roles including National Network Development & Sales Planning Manager,
Dealer Business Manager and Finance & Insurance Manager. Most recently, Mr
Santos held the post of National Sales Manager for Volkswagen Group
Australia where he steered the business to increased market share in all
segments.
Janet Markus
New Audi Australia General Manager Communication,
Janet Markus will join the company on December 1 from a senior role in the
Management Development Programme of Audi AG.
Ms Markus boasts a career spanning more than a decade with Audi in Germany, with experience as General Manager of an Audi dealership owned by her family, through to roles in Dealer Development, Dealer Marketing, Communication and Media. Formerly based in Audi Germany’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, this will be Ms Markus’ first overseas posting and her experience will be focussed on further building the Audi brand profile and helping to drive the brand’s strong growth in Australia.
Audi Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AUDI AG, and sold 11,310 vehicles in 2009. The company has experienced five years of record growth since 2004.
