Aspirational Motoring Magazine Influx is Back in Print

LONDON – November 23, 2010: A unique motoring magazine that celebrates car and bike culture, and the human imaginations behind it, has been relaunched by a leading insurance broker.
Influx is the beautifully-produced print edition of the successful online magazine influx.co.uk, and will be given away free of charge by Adrian Flux Insurance Services.
With a sophisticated and minimalist design, this high-quality mini-mag explores and celebrates the ways in which cars and motorbikes can represent the very heights of design, technology and human imagination.
Michael Fordham, editorial and art director, said the new magazine was a unique dispatch from the edge of car and bike culture that attempts to get close to what inspires us all about the cars and the bikes we ride.
“It’s unlike the mainstream car magazines in almost every way, and we think it’s a pretty special little piece of work,” he added.
“What we’re striving to achieve is top quality writing about the experience of driving, riding and living with cars and bikes. We also want the ‘zine to be a beautiful object that you want to pick up, keep and collect.”
The pocket-sized package includes 56 ad-free pages with a striking wraparound, gatefold cover featuring stunning photography from the Le Mans Classic courtesy of Frenchman Laurent Nivalle, plus a photo folio from Canadian documentarian of bike culture Scott Pommier, and an illustrated history of the evolution of the Porsche 911.
There are also incisive written contributions from Ben Oliver of Car magazine, who muses on the relationships between cars and art, and Gary Inman, editor of cult bike culture magazine Sideburn.
Fordham worked with Maze Media and award-winning creative agency The Church of London to create the new magazine.
