McLaren Automotive Design Director Frank Stephenson To Headline 'Driving Dreams' Event

WOKING, UNITED KINGDOM – November 5, 2010: McLaren Automotive Design Director Frank Stephenson is to be the headline speaker at the forthcoming ‘Driving Dreams’ event, staged by the charity Mercy Corps on Monday 22 November 2010 in London. Stephenson will cover his passion for car design and give an insight in to the application of his design philosophy at McLaren Automotive, where he leads a team responsible for a groundbreaking future range of high performance sports cars. In addition, explorer Neil Laughton will talk about his extraordinary recent fundraising trip across the Sahara Desert in a flying car and David Fox-Pitt will discuss an amazing trip he made from Darjeeling to Bhutan on Royal Enfield motorcycles.

‘Driving Dreams’ is being held at the Commonwealth Club, 25 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2N 5AP on Monday 22 November 2010 from 19.00-21.00hrs.

All proceeds raised from the Driving Dreams event will fund Mercy Corps’ ‘Project Trishna’ (meaning “to quench one’s thirst”) in the tea garden communities of Marybong and Gairee Gaon in Darjeeling, India. ‘Project Trishna’ will receive funding raised at the event enabling the provision of drinking water to 85 households, and a population of over 450.

Mervyn Lee, Executive Director of Mercy Corps will introduce the speakers on the evening and McLaren Automotive has kindly donated signed Formula 1 memorabilia for auction on the night.

‘Driving Dreams’ tickets are priced at £20.00 each and can be obtained by emailing Leo Hall on trishnaproject@aol.com with the guest(s) name(s), ticket quantity required, telephone number and postal address. A return email will confirm allocated ticket numbers and an address to send a cheque made payable to Mercy Corps.
