Kia: Motorama Celebrates Golden Anniversary With Platinum Award

SYDNEY – November 2, 2010: One of Queensland’s largest automotive groups has capped off its golden anniversary year with one of Kia Motor’s most prestigious dealership rewards.
Salisbury based Motorama Automotive Dealership Group, is celebrating 50 years in the car sales trade and was recently recognised as a Platinum Dealer by Kia Motors Corporation.
The Platinum Dealer designation forms part of an international program which critically reviews dealers from 18 countries and 5 regions around the world. Motorama is only the seventh Australian Kia Dealership to receive the award since the launch of the Kia Dealer Excellence Program in April 2007.
Motorama CEO Mark Woelders says the award is special because it not only recognises sales but the team work required to make the whole business a success.
“We are very proud to accept the Platinum Award and feel honoured that we were considered and eventually selected,” Mr Woelders said.
“The award focuses on the whole business from brand development to service, sales and parts. It therefore conforms that all of our staff from management down, are dedicated to making Motorama Kia an exceptional dealership to be involved with whether you’re an employee or a valued customer.”
Kia Motors Australia Chief Operating Officer, Tony Barlow was also pleased to see another Australian Kia dealership listed as a Platinum Dealer.
“Motorama is a family owned business started by Mark’s Grandfather in 1960, so it’s now in its third generation of family operation,” Mr Barlow said.
“The dealership won Australian Family Business of the Year in 2006 and has a 25 year plan in place which means Kia is in an enviable position of a continued partnership with Motorama for another generation, a prospect we are extremely pleased about.”
The Platinum Dealer Award recognises dealers who achieve a high compliance on the standard evaluation. It recognises dealers who have invested in the Kia corporate identity for facilities, sales and service operations, and in personnel training to meet with global and regional brand standards.
The Award also serves to motivate the dealer network to enhance and maintain a high degree of standards to ensure customers experience the true Kia brand personality, "exciting and enabling".
Each Platinum Dealer is awarded a kit with visual additions to let customers know they are working with a dealer that meets with Kia's highest standards.
