Polk to Offer Aftermarket Insight During SEMA, AAPEX Shows

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. Oct. 28, 2010 Several Polk executives will participate in educational sessions as part of the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show and Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) next week in Las Vegas. Their presentations include insight from Polk's unique perspective and expertise in both the OEM and aftermarket segments of the industry. Among the highlights:

  • Pat Reininger, Polk vice president of sales and client services, will discuss trends within the hybrid/electric vehicle and small car segments during his presentation as part of the Driving Green Performance panel discussion at SEMA. The session on Tues., Nov. 2 from 9-11:30 a.m. in the SEMA Awards Theatre, Upper South Hall, Booth 30239 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Reininger's presentation will include insight into the proliferation of new technologies and models, current segment performance compared to the overall industry, barriers to adoption and a general outlook on the hybrid/electric and small car segments.
  • Scott Huston, Polk key account manager, will take part in the panel discussion titled Hot Products for 2011 – What Consumers Want, being held on Tues., Nov. 2 from 1-2:00 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room N259. Huston will present a high level snapshot of the auto industry from Polk's perspective, including top vehicles registered across a variety of categories, Polk's vehicle registration forecast and additional insight into important factors relevant to the aftermarket.
  • Polk president Tim Rogers will address AAIA Town Hall attendees and focus on five important trends that Polk sees impacting the automotive aftermarket in the coming years. The event will be held on Wed., Nov. 3, from 7-8:45 a.m. in the Venetian Ballroom at the Venetian Hotel as part of AAPEX.

In addition to the executive presentations, Polk will feature a number of new solutions for wholesale distributors, retailers, program groups, jobbers, and service providers at its AAPEX booth #1038 at the Sands Expo Center Nov. 2-4. Polk also will participate in SEMA's Global Tire Expo, booth #40281 at the Las Vegas Convention Center Nov. 2-5.
