Go Green Auto Rally Instructs Drivers How to Be Green Behind the Wheel

Inaugural Event Designed to Educate Drivers on How to Become More Eco Conscious and Save Money Visits Southern California, November 6th & 7th

PR Newswire

LONG BEACH, Calif., Oct. 5 -- Looking to dispel misconceptions about how to be green behind the wheel, the Go Green Auto Rally is pleased to announce its inaugural event November 6th and 7th in Long Beach. The rally series covering a 100 mile drive from Long Beach to beautiful Malibu, is an entertaining competition that educates people on dramatically reducing their carbon emissions and saving money at the pump by employing simple Go Green Auto Rally techniques.

"Los Angeles has more than 30 million registered vehicles on the road and is the most car populated region of the United States, with commuters logging in 300 million miles daily. Without a doubt, Southern California is a place where the Go Green Auto Rally can make a difference educating people about how to reduce their carbon emissions and costs while also showing them the concept of green speed," comments Go Green Rally Founder Jean Paul Libert. "Our goal with the Go Green Auto Rally is to show the 240 million United States motorists on the road right now how they can make a positive difference environmentally no matter what kind of car they drive."

With a maximum of 200 entries per day, Go Green Auto Rally participants will pit themselves against each other in a friendly competition to see who is the best eco driver. At the start of the event, each registered car in the Go Green Auto Rally will be outfitted with an EcoGyzer monitoring system developed by Nomadic Solutions which rates how drivers perform. With the EcoGyzer diagnostic system carefully monitoring each participant, drivers will put what they learned from Go Green Auto Rally driving instructors to the test for a variety of prizes, including a brand new sub-compact car for the overall winner.

Price per Go Green Auto Rally registrant is $129 per car. A special rate of $99 is available for students, Armed Forces members and senior citizens.  In addition to participation, enrollment also includes a Go Green Auto Rally Ice Watch, a commemorative Go Green Auto Rally poster by artist Erwin Dazelle, Go Green Auto Rally photos, and tickets to the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show. All participants will also compete against one another for the chance to win a brand new sub-compact car.
