NOVI, Mich., Sept. 23 -- Nissan North America, Inc. recently honored Cooper Standard with two quality awards: the 2010 Most Improved Supplier Quality Award and the Zero Defects Certificate. The honors were presented by Nissan's Catherine Perez, vice president of Purchasing, Kevin Martin, vice president of Quality, and Bill Krueger, senior vice president of Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management and Total Customer Satisfaction, to Cooper Standard's Edward Hasler, president, and Lyle Otremba, vice president of sales and engineering, during an awards ceremony in Franklin, Tenn.

Cooper Standard – which has supplied Nissan for 14years – was the only supplier to receive the Most Improved Supplier Quality Award in 2010 for its continuous quality improvements. The Zero Defects Certificate was awarded to the global automotive supplier for its exceptional defect rate.
